West Monroe Icy Weather

We have had two days of sleet and icy conditions which of course closes school!!! For some reason when the temp falls below 32 degrees in Louisiana, things shut down. The ice is starting to melt this afternoon, but Lilya says that is okay cause she is gonna see the snow in Jackson Hole soon. Just wanted to share some pics of the ice on the trees around the house and of the kids entertaining each other at home.

Check out Lilya in shorts outside. Don't think she will have a problem in Jackson Hole in the snow if she can stand the wet cold of Louisiana while wearing shorts!!!!

Jauberts in Louisiana again

Chris, Jessica, and Oscar were back in LA this year for Christmas. We were excited that they were going to be able to stay with us in our new home. They arrived Christmas night and had to drive 5 hours and battle the nasty rain to get to West Monroe. The next day the kids had a wonderful Christmas together opening presents. It is so fun to watch them tear into their gifts. It is really amazing to me how one year makes such a difference in their reactions and personalities. Oscar and Lilya are really growing up and changing. They really had so much fun together, we could hardly separate them. And this year was really interesting because it was monkey see monkey do. If one had it, of course the other had to as well. We took them to the mall to ride the carousel as we do every year it seems. We actually went two days in a row this year. The weather did not cooperate and was very rainy so our trip to the park was cancelled. We always enjoy their company and love spending time with them. It always feels like it goes by so fast though. Last year was very busy for us and we did not get to make a trip to Jackson Hole to visit. We definitely are this year though. Can't go another year without seeing them again. And who wouldn't want to visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming right??? We let Lilya decide this time if we would go in the summer or see the snow. She picked the snow!! So snow it is. We have booked our trip for March and can't wait to visit the Jauberts and Jackson Hole again!!!

408 Austin Oaks Circle

After 6 months in a wonderful two bedroom apartment with 2 adults and 2 children, we finally moved into our house. We moved in a week before Christmas! As crazy as that may sounds, it was so worth being in our house to celebrate Christmas morning and enjoy the kids opening presents. We are enjoying our new house. Can't wait for the weather to get better so the kids can finally enjoy riding their bikes and playing in the back yard!!!

Happy Birthday Stuart

On Feb 16, Stuart Lawson Jaubert turned one year old..Can't believe it has been a year already. He is becoming a big boy. He is sweet and quiet, always wanting to love on you and absolutely loves his dog, Lulu. Everyone always said boys are completely different than girls. They were right. He is nothing like his sister. Not much bothers him, he loves to be outside and dirty, always happy, and likes to eat. The only thing they have in common is that it takes them a while to warm up to you and they never cry or complain to stay with their Kay-Kay. They would probably live there if we let them and never ask for us or miss us. Sorry took so long to get these photos of his party up. We have been super busy and this weekend we are setting up their swing set. More pics to come of that and I am sure a hospital bill or two since Stuart is not afraid to climb up the slide!!!

Christmas with the Jauberts

The week following Christmas, Chris, Jessica, and Oscar were in Louisiana..We got to celebrate Christmas with them for the week and as always it was such a pleasure to visit with them..But most importantly, the kids got to spend time playing with each other..Oscar and Lilya have so much fun together..it is always monkey see monkey do with those two..They played with Stuart too like he was their little baby doll..Stubaby stayed with them though..He wouldn't give up and followed them around like he was a big boy..He got fed chocolate icinig..of course he loved it..We are always sad to see them go but we will be visiting Jackson Hole for Chrismas 2012...Lilya says she wants to go back to see snow on the next trip.

Christmas in Cottonport

We had such a great Christmas this year with the kids..Stuart could really care a less but Lilya thought everything was amazing..She was so excited for Santa to pass that she ran to bed and told everyone to turn out the lights and hurry and go to sleep..if only Santa passed every night! The adults had lots of fun on Christmas Eve..The Hood played Just Dance 2 on the Wii at Kay-Kay's house..The men thought they could easily play this game...Wrong..They all about had a heart attack..so did we laughing at those idiots..Lots of fun this year..Guess next year we will play Just Dance 3..

Who Dat

The Kay Kay gave me, Roger, Nick, Clay, and Laura Saints tickets to this past Sunday's game. We had an awesome time. The weather was great, the game was sooo good, and of course we had a great time on Bourbon Street afterwards. Thanks KK for an amazing Christmas present.
