Stuart Lawson Jaubert

It's a boy! We are so excited to welcome Stuart Lawson to our family. He was born Wednesday 2/16/2011 at 5:33 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs 5 ozs and was 21 inches long. He is doing great and his big sister Lilya was so happy to have him here, even though she did leave Saturday without hesitation to go to Cottonport for the week. Just wanted to share some photos with everyone.

Lilya and Clay in the leaves

Saturday, Clay and Laura came by to see Stu-Baby. Lilya needed some attention and play time so Clay took her outside to play ball and to play in the leaves that Roger had raked. She had so much fun. She had leaves everywhere. She ran and played so much her little cheeks were so red. She had leaves all in her hair, in her shirt and pants and all in her shoes. She really enjoyed being outside.

First trip to Caney Lake for the year

We finally started feeling better to get out of the house and the weather warmed up some, so we headed to the camp at Caney Lake last Saturday to meet Kay Kay, Aunt Lisa, Ella, and Lea Rose. The kids fished most of the day, but I think Lilya was the only one who caught anything (only because she had an orange plastic fish on her fishing pole). The water was way too cold to catch anything but they gave it an effort. Roger bought the girls some worms, but of course Ella had to put them on Lea's fishing pole. She was not touching those worms. Check out the picture of Lea with the pillow under her belly. She was pretending to be pregnant like me. Lisa told her that girls had to be married, have a career, have a house, and be 30 before they could have babies. It was pretty funny. We left Lilya with them for the night and came back on Sunday but not to a beautiful sunny day. It stormed all day on Sunday and we had to load everything in the rain and cold. At least we got one day out of the house.

Week before last, me and Lilya were sick. We were in the house from Saturday to Friday. It was no fun, and of course boring. We did have a little fun towards the end of the week. It is amazing what you will do to entertain your children when they are sick and bored. Rog must have really felt sorry for her that night. Notice all the medicine on the cabinet. Looks like I am a pharmacist or something :) Just a reminder, noone eat ice cream at my house until that half gallon is gone.
